How a board is judged
Every board carries the same six slots and the same scoring table. There is no salary cap, no auction and no lottery element — the only lever you control is your read of tonight's matchups. Two managers who draft the same six skaters finish with the same total, every time.
Scoring runs off licensed live feeds. A goal is worth five points, an assist three, a blocked shot one. Goaltenders earn a point for every ten saves and eight for a shutout, and lose two for each goal against past the third. Penalty minutes cost half a point each, which is exactly why an agitator rarely belongs in a fantasy lineup.
Boards lock at the opening faceoff. If a skater you drafted turns out to be a healthy scratch, the board substitutes nothing — that empty slot is part of the risk you accepted, and it is why the injury report on our Insights page is worth five minutes of your evening.
Settlement happens automatically once the last game on the slate ends. Every point is itemised down to the individual event, so you can trace exactly which shift moved you up or down the standings.
